Looking for old seeds that are already hard to germinate. Genetics doesn't matter. I'm thinking pre-1999 especially those that haven't been frozen.
Private emails please.
Thanks,
Steve

Hey Steve, maybe this might be a good time to explain to everyone why you specifically don't want seeds that have been frozen. BF

Steve probably wants to test germinate old seeds that have been stored in a similar fashion to another perhaps more valuable and rare seed so he can determine his own best practices through experimentation and hopefully acheive his goal of germinating that 1976 Ford....

Thanks for all the dusty seed offers. It's just what we need.
All are correct. The '76 Fords are (or were) the goal. But we now seem to have two universities that may be offering their labs for an artificial germination attemp. These sterile conditions are just what we need to avoid failure.
But to keep from going stir crazy & to dispel some widely held myths about seed germination we will still perform the germination trials on old seeds.
The results will be published in all cases.
Jeez. All this data & all I was trying to do was write an article for our clubs newsletter. LOL Before long I could write a bloody encyclopedia with all the information we're uncovering.
