I caught the "bug"last summer while growing pumpkins for the first time. That same spring,we also started a colony of honey-bees,and as you can imagine,I ended up with many pumpkins. Now i would like to try my hand at the "big" ones.If there is anyone out there that would be so kind as to give me some seeds,I'd very much be in your debt.I would also consider trading some of our "wildflower honey",as we ended up with about 3 gallons of honey from our 2 hives by the fall of '04.We have already gave away 8/10th's of the honey, but I am willing to "trade some of what is left to get some of these hard to find seeds.Thanks,Chris.

Chris, I have some seeds if you are interested. See this previous post of mine for information:
http://www.bigpumpkins.com/msgboard/ViewThread.asp?b=1&p=98846
you can buy 10-12 bubble pack envelopes in one package at Wal-mart or any office supply store- If you just want one or two go to the post office but they cost more there.

Thank you,everyone...This is the very first time that I've ever done -Any- correspondence on the internet, and i must say that i am a bit overwhelmed by the response that i am getting for my plea for seeds.I am happy to get all these offers,as i just spoke with my two uncle's,and they want to get in on this giant pumpkin thing,(my brother, too!).We are going to all have a contest this summer,on who will grow the biggest pumpkin.(with the loser's each buying the winner a case of beer, lol).I can just see it happening:The "winner" will probably end up getting drunk, and go staggering right in to the "prized" pumpkin, smashing it to bits,LOL.I am sending out for seeds tomorrow to Shannon Engel, and Kieth Barrett. When i can get more bubble wrap(and stamps),I will respectfull send for seeds from the rest of you,as it sounds like all the Men in our family feel a strange need to compete to grow the biggest "pumpkin".(lol)....Oh ya,ahab, from Ma.,here is my address,if you wish to send some seeds:.. Christopher Keller 23828 Emerald Trail- Deer Trail,Co.80105.Thanks so much everyone,Chris

Colo. growers are few and far between in most cases,as I have been trying to promote the art of giant pumpkin growing here in colorado for many years now.It would be nice to see another big high altitude heavy hitter colorado grower do something here in this large state besides the only 3 or 4 growers whom have been successful in our challenging conditions. Becoming a heavy hitter here in colorado requires you better do your homework, as it is a full time job, and you have to always be on top of nature or it will do you in for the season very fast, and your season is over........WE have plenty of seed, that is genetics that I think may be climatized to our climate all they need is the right person to grow them......JK.

Chris,
Not sure if you got my email looking for your address but I have it now. Seeds leave today.
Please Beware. Most of the internet is riddled with scammers & spammers. Get Spy-ware & good Anti-viral protection soon! Seriously.
This group of people & this particular website is a rare & precious treasure not easily found elsewhere on the www.
Welcome & enjoy!

Alan,
Chris said "This is the very first time that I've ever done -Any- correspondence on the internet".
I just had this company owned IBM rehabbed on 1-21-05. Just yesterday I thought it was running a little slow. So I called our corporate IT guys. He had me download the program "Microsoft Anti-SpyWare Beta 1" & I ran it.
Seven different types of spyware had found its way into this laptop in just 2 weeks. I have not surfed an twisted websites & haven't gone onto a single website that requires an email log-in.
It seems the first one that latched on was "Comet Cursor" & it "invited" many of the rest. Weird.
My thought was that if Chris is just getting online, then it is best he know that while BigPumpkins is a clean website, many others are not.
Chris, I mailed you an envelope today.

Also,Steve,I know from exp.,that re-booting will not get rid of these viruses, but they will show up in your "certificates"(found in "edit-preferences,dbl.click on "privicy & security",the go down to"certificates",dbl. click "manage certificates",click on the tab:"authorities"This will show if a "certain" program has had your "authority",or not.If you see a program in there that you do not recognize, you can click,or highlite the one in question, then click on:"view"(at the bottom),this will show all the info about this program. If this program does'nt show who it is issued by,then it very well have a bug in the program. If you find one of these, you can delete it right then and there. It may come back,it may not.Untill anyone gets a virus protector,It is recomended that you check this(in "edit)everytime(before and after) you surf the web.If you see the "suspect program" again in "certificates",simply delete it then, and there. This should solve your prob.,if only temp.
