yet another few in my list of many questions.....
How does a variety get so popular? Is it the number of different growers - or the actual number of larger offspring?
ex: 20 different growers used it - got 20 pumpkins.. or two growers that got 20 giant pumpkins?
Is it at the 'pumpkin weigh-offs' or is it at the local fairs? 4-H entries, junior entries, etc?
Is a 'large grower' - a grower that produces several dozen Giant pumpkins a year? or a grower that's consistently produced a few giant pumpkins for dozens of years?

Follow the leader....If good growers grow good seeds then there is good demand. But if great growers grow good seeds there is greater demand.
