Steveman, thought you finally gave up and got another hobby, as I have yet to see you pull off anything even close to, such as a 100 lber. in all the years you have not been growing and doing a lot of talking here on this site on how much you know about growing......Amazing to see you back here with top notch seed after all these years, after you have not so much as even ever grown a real pumpkin....All the best seeds in the world will do you no good, if you do not know how to grow them,as I told you years ago but it seems you do not listen.. You just do not put a seed in the ground and get a 1000 lb. pumpkin. Prove your self first and get some experience growing a decent size fruit before going after and wasting top notch seeds.....Just my two cents to you Steve sorry for the lecture, But I feel you deserve it due to your non-growing history to set the record straight ........ JK..

Another day, Another personal Attack, What gives here.
Really getting boring.
If you want to slam the guy, send him a personal email.
By the way: I sent Steveman an 845 Bobier last year. Does it really matter if he grew anything big or not? I think not, As long as it gave him a good feeling and a few good dreams, then that 845, in my books did it's job. It's a hobby, not a job.
Isn't this website here to help growers. If Steveman failed shouldn't we be here to pick him up, dust him off and support him. Steveman, I'll trade with you!!!

You know me and steve where very good friends and talked a lot over the phone , but i have not talked to him in a long time but steve is a very nice kid and so what if he has bad luck at growing a pumpkin you know he is trying and he does not have all the contacts to the heavy hitters like most people do so i say lay off him. yes, a private email would have been more appropriate, but

Yes Steve man, remember what I told you, dont take crap from anyone. Hey JK what makes you the king of growing, seems you need to keep your attacks to yourself.

I am not trying to attack steveman, but I and other well known growers have done more than help the guy, as we have even given him a top knotch live plant to grow, just to see it killed a short time later.....How can you help a guy that will not even put a effort into this sport/ hobby...I love to help anyone I can, but when the person disrespects the help you gave them, I think it is time to give up....And Green Angel I am no king of pumpkin growing and am far from it, But I am sort of being vocal toward toward steveman due to the fact he may learn something from it and actually maybe grow a pumpkin with what he has and the listen more to the people trying to help him...

There is such a thing as teaching someone something, and then just being plain rude in how you come across doing that.

Wow, sounds like the winter has done some of the guys in. But May 1st is just around the corner. But all in all, at one time or other we all where 17 once and had a lot of different dreams that never mounted to Jack <<<< So what difference does it make if a young kid grows a 25 pound pumpkin and waste a $300.00 seed. To each is own. God didn't make us all the same with the same idea's in our head.Best of luck in 2005 Steve

Floh. I responded to your "urgent seed request" my email was returned to me as "undeliverable" after a few days. Returned mail as "undeliverable" is often mistaken for spam and often the sender figures you just have not responded. You may wish to consider that others have had similar problems.

I met with Steve last year. He was trying to grow a pumpkin at his grandmother's house and at another site. The hail that did in the growers there also did steve in. He made several attempts to grow but was cut short by the hail. Steve din't have the rescourses(money)to put up structures to protect from all the hail storms that hit the area. He still made an attempt to grow even though the season was a bust. Even though he hasn't grown anything huge, yet, he was very proud of a pumpkin that he grew a couple of years ago and was very proud of it when he showed it to me. Isnt that what this is about, having fun? Weather it be growin 1000 pounders or something that you can be proud that you grew. I will still continue to give steve advice and help him anyway I can.
