HI,
I am still looking for Bodacious pumpkin seeds which I grew a few years ago. I can also send an attachment showing the pumpkins. I do not know what variety they are, unfortunately.

I've heard of Bodacious sweet corn, but not pumpkins. Maybe the same company bred them.

Did a quick search for bodacious pumpkins, and I came up with some interesting info. Nothing to help you with your search, I'm afraid, but interesting nontheless. This first link scroll down to the 1996 yearbook, where it talks about the Bodacious pumpkins in Fallbrook, California, on Mission Rd. And then, the next link, dating 2004, is a person asking about whatever happened to the Bodacious Pumpkin patch in Fallbrook. Here is what the reader said.

'Bring back the bodacious pumpkins

Does anyone know what happened to the Bodacious Pumpkin Patch on East Mission?

I heard a few complaints from homeowners that the fruit stand was an eyesore. Because of this, the owner was convinced and persuaded to close his place of business. I'm sure I speak for a lot of people in this community when I say that those beautiful pumpkins gave us a feeling of fall in the air and provided a place to take our families to enjoy the season and pick out a fine pumpkin or two to carve into a jack-o'-lantern.

I'm sure many readers of these letters have stopped a time or two to purchase not only pumpkins, but farm-fresh produce as well. I was also told the reason Bodacious Pumpkin Patch came to be was because a father wanted to honor the birth of his first-born daughter by planting special pumpkin seeds obtained from another country that produced unusual and beautiful fat and "bodacious" pumpkins. His daughter was born on Oct. 31.

Shame on those homeowners who complained about a few signs and a busy place of business. Now all we have to look at is a field of tall, out-of-control weeds and an empty building.

Here are the two links. I can tell by the pictures why you would certainly want to get more seeds! However, it may be that this person on Mission Rd. in Fallbrook has not moved, and you may still be able to contact him or her.

Oh, I was searching, and I found this other link. Apparently, this person named Becky Bovell used to donate large pumpkins from Bodacious Pumpkins in Fallbrook for pumpkin splats. Might do some checking in some phone books, or phone the telephone company to find if 'Becky Bovell' in Fallbrook still lives there.

Hope this helps,

So, looking back at what I just posted, this is what can be garnered. A person named Becky Bevell, possibly (probably) owner, lived on Mission Rd. in Fallbrook, California, and had a business called 'Bodacious Pumpkins' which apparently closed several years ago. Like I said, hope this helps,

Cameron

Oops, I just discovered a previous post, and I found that you already knew almost all of what I just posted! But maybed the fact that the patch was on Mission Rd. will help. I feel so embarassed, I should have realized that if this was a second post, that you would have already posted a first post that had more info... oh well, we all make mistakes, eh?
