What is up with everyone trying to trade up before contest. These trades are all gonna turn out with someone pissed because they didnt know that there was a monster grown on that seed they just traded away.

Caveat emptor. If someone's looking for a seed at this hour, you have to figure there's a good reason. Trade accordingly...

that's a snapshot from a year ago on this same board. there's always going to be some "inside knowledge" out there at this time of year, and i'd be amazed if many trades actually happen between now and halloween. i know i don't swap until then, anyway.

Someone always has an "inside track", trying to secure a seed that they know will "blow up" after the weighoffs are over. I wont even think about doing a trade until after all the results are in. You never know where that next big one will come from.....but some already do....

It's all part of the game, same with every hobby. Why do you think people who sell seeds raise the prices on some when they know a big one is being grown. I can think of many examples of that happening.

So by that same reasoning, I should be looking for a few 1144 Hester seeds and digging in my old seed bin to find a few more 895 and 1028 Hesters as well... 1000+ 895 Greenie on the way....and Oh the 1028 may just hit 1200+ just for kicks...Did I mention rumors are part of the game too...LOL!!!!
