I, pretty much accidentally, came across a person on ebay who grows giants pumpkins and he said he has two seeds from the 1130lber. I am going to stay in touch with him and give you guys updates on how they are doing. I wish i could get my hands on those seeds myself.

As far as I know, there were no seeds from the Checkon 1130. Moonie's seeds were not developed.

I met Gerry Checkon and her husband Larry this weekend.
Gerry told the riviting story of their world champion pumpkin growing season. Larry confirmed that "Moonie" the 1131 Checkon did not devolope a single mature seed. He express great disapointment over this. Larry also said that he grew a pumpkin over 1200lbs that split early in the season. He only got a couple of seeds from this pumpkin. Most experts that have been asked why this happend agree that it must be do to the very high levels of nitrogen in their garden, causing the fruits to grow rapily, but delaying maturity.

Ya i know, i don't know exactly what the guy was talking about, he must be looney because there is no way he could of gotten seeds from that pumpkin, maybe he meant the other 1000 lber Checkon grew last year. I'll try to find out.
