Hi Everyone! Thanks to two dedicated growers here, I had a great learning exp. for my 1 year. I had a beautiful patch, just couldn't get a pumpkin to set. I have learned from my mistake, but would feel better instead of asking for seed, would like to buy some. I feel I let them down by not producing a pumpkin from some great seed. Without this site, I wouldn't have got as far as i did my first year. THanks to all.

There are two things every growers wants to do:

1) Grow hugely giant pumpkins
2) Create the genetic cross that grows hugely giant pumpkins

There is far more seed produced each year from people on this site than will ever be grown. Nothing to feel bad about.

If you truly want to purchase seeds though, the auctions are the best place to do it. The seed bazaar at the Niagara seminar is also a great spot if you feel you must buy seed. Somebody slap me if I'm out of place, but regular people selling seed is kind of frowned upon here.

There were a lot of people that had problems getting pumpkins to set this year.......the heat was a major problem in my area. Glad to hear you aren't giving up!

don't feel bad ,i'm going on 3 years. once,i had one plant that only opened males.no females got to that point.next year i will try something new.
