White seeds are lacking the woody tan/brown "second layer" that is present on your 709. This could be a genetic trait of your 575. However it could also mean that the seeds ar immature & simply didn't have time to grow a second layer.

Since the embryo is all that really matters, you won't know if the 575 seeds are good until you try germinating some.

Best wishes for a successful trial!

AG seeds come tan, white, or any shade between the two.It seems to be genetic. If you blow across a bunch of seeds spread out to dry and one flies across the room its no good. If you drop one from 3 inches up onto a hard surface and it clunks its likely a good candidate for germination. Basicly, after the first day drying you will be able to sort out MOST of the empties. As you continue to spread them around or turn them over during drying you will be able to weed out the no-go's by feel....light in wieght empty ones are likely no good, off colors usually indicate empty seed casings (but do the drop test first). After a week the skins peel away (only if the seeds werent in pumpkin soup when you opened the fruit)...dry an extra week after that...then do a final drop test...then send them all to me.

It's not the size of the seed but the magic in it.
