I'm looking for a seed that is 801 x 567 crossed with another 801 x 567 or reverse.
Example (940 Mombert 00 x 867 Mombert 00) or (725 Holland 01 x 912 Holland 01)or any combination of these 4 pumpkins.
unreported genetic crosses are fine.
Thanks, Ron Rahe

Ron,
I recall that geo.napa.ca(screen name) did the following cross: 774 Mombert X 600 Glasier. I believe this would be:
(801.5 X 567.5) X (567.5 X 801.5).

Would you settle for the actual seeds 940 Mombert, 867 Mombert, 774 Mombert, and 912 Holland.

Brian C might be able to help he made some 940 x 867 crosses in 2002,810 & 701.

I have some of Brian's 810 and 710, if he is out of them...

Wasn't it the 940 Mombert 98 that Brian C. used for that cross? The fact that there were both the 940 Mombert 98 and the 940 Mombert 00, can be confusing.

I think the 940 '98 was in one of them. One of them is 867 Mombert selfed. I'll have to check tonight. They were both *very* orange.

I received the 458 Webster from George a few weeks back.
I was going to cross it with the 754 Glasier 01. The resulting cross would bring 4 different 801 x 567 (or reverse)crosses together. I contacted Pete Glasier and he said the 754 was given to a carver and he doesn't have any seeds from it. The 710 Christensen was the 867 Mombert selfed. I might use that seed.

Ron I have a 774 Mombert 2000 if you would like it. I won it in a raffle. Shannon Engel
Eddie if I made you supply the bubble that would make me sound cheap.

Both the 710 and 810 did have great color. To my knowledge no one has grown either seed. They both have great potential. The only concern I have is that they both split out. There is more to splits then genetics so if you're willing to risk it they may do well for you. I have a few seeds of both if anyone is willing to grow them. The 810 is 940 Mombert 98 x 867 Mombert, the 710 is the 867 selfed.

To give you an idea of the color... go to the Langevin Book III, on the table of contents page. My daughter in the rainbow colored shirt is sitting in front of the 810. Then another daughter of mine with the blonde hair and the jacket is sitting in front of the stem end of that fruit. As you can see, awesome color.

Color has always been of minor importance to me.I've been trying unsuccessfully for six years to reach the magic number 1000. Each season I planted seeds that promised weight rather than beauty. Therefore I never tried a cross I made several years ago, but someone here might be interested in planting one of the three remaining seeds I have left from my 2001 627 pound 867 X 869.5 cross. It has the 567.5 and 801.5 in both sides of the family tree.

Cliff,
I didn't realize that was my pumpkin on that page. Now that you mention it I recognize the kids but I hadn't put two and two together. That's cool!
