I have been reading some post and it sounds like i need to grow a proven seed since it is my first year growing.
does any body have 1 or 2 proven seeds i could have

There are lots of proven seeds around. Do some research and e-mail a few growers for their seed directly. You will be suprised what you can get for the asking! Just a hint, the real popular stuff is likely out of reach, however if you trade with as many growers as you can, you will have lots of provenseed next year.
Also, "Stevenson" is giving away a 862 Hester, two posts down. it has grown a 1000 lber.
If you just can't find any proven seed, e-mail me, I'm sure I can find you a proven seed to grow!
