Does anyone have any Boyton 950.4 crosses? Any genetic plot seeds? Listed below are the types I have. I would like to get any Boyton 950.4 cross seeds that you may have that you are not going to plant. I have seeds to trade for. I plan on growing as many Boyton 950 seeds as possible to keep this genetic line alive. (In main patch and genetics patch) So email me and lets make a deal! Thanks for your help.

I made a few crosses with the 950.4 Boyton.

440 George 04 (950.4 Boyton X 736 Garrell)

281 George 04 (804 Carlson X 950.4 Boyton)

The 440 was grown last year and was extremely heat tolerant.

The 281 has not been grown to my knowledge but has some great genetics. (Selfed 846 Calai X selfed 845 Bobier)
Still hoping to see if Tom Beachy will grow it this year.

Gordzilla did'nt your 440 have no shade and tolerate like 110 degrees temps?

I have to update Boyton 950.4 seeds that I have. Clinton Rose reminded me that he gave me the 660 C. Rose (1036 perez x self) and the 437 C. Rose (1036 Perez x 1370 Rose)

I forgot the 1036 Perez is a (600.5 Gregory-00 x 950.4 Boyton-03)

600.5 Gregory ’01 (1026 Holland ’00 x 968 Stellpflug ’00 UOW)

As I remember it the 1036 was putting on like 40lbs per day in the heat.

Turken, I would really like the 861 crossed back with another 950 boyton, would be a great crossback for sure with 75% 845 bobier and 25% 801 stelts. But maybe Im prejudice on the 861 lol :) Jimmy

Sounds like a good plan to me. I would have to use the 950 as the male pollinator since I will be selfing the 950. My original plan I was just going to self the 861. My 950 better germinate or I would have to use the gerry 124 or 200 Lawerce for 950 genes. The 200 Lawerce is either 950 self or 950 x 630 Boyton.

yes Turken, the 950 plant that grew my 440 thrived in the heat. I've never seen anything like it.

the 124 Gerry was (950 Boyton X SELF),
NOT (by the 845). sorry.
keep in mind that the 767 Catapano has itself grown
several 1000+ pounders.

Thank you for your responses. This is great! I'm trying to keep up with my email, so bare with me if I have not reponded. Well now with ever ones help and I will have a lot of Boyton 950.4 type pumpkins for genetics and to give out seeds next year to Hot Weather newbies and oldbies!

Gourdzilla that's pretty amazing. There seems to be a real pattern with it's heat loving and not loving the cool weather as much from everybody that I have talked to about it.

Gerry Thanks for letting me know. I think I thought the 845 was a cross of the 124 rather than the 845 x 845 being the parent of the Boyton 950.4 So I corrected my seed record. Now is the 124 a 125 or is the 125 a 124 Gerry, lol!

Turken, here's another thought. Ben also grew a 301 pumpkin as a shock absorber fruit on the same plant he grew the 950.
It's also the same cross as the 950 (selfed).
I've never heard about anybody growing the 301 Boyton but I would bet that that seed may be every bit as good as the 950.
You might want to put a post up to see if anybody has some that they don't want.

Anyone out there have a 301 Boyton? But as far as I know it is not a proven seed yet. From looking at diary's of those that grew it, they either culled it or it perished. It really has not had a chance grow though yet. But you would think it would do something with the genetics. By the way have you checked your email? I sent you a email a couple of days ago.

Well so far I think I will be growing the most plants with Boyton 950.4 genetics in the world! lol this should be interesting. I hope it turns out ok and I don't mess up it's heat tolerance genes. I have the room to do and the heat to boot. I also have found a 1036 Perez 2003 (600.5 Gregory x 950.4 Boyton) and a 568 Perez 2003 (658 Emmons x 950.4 Boyton)
