how about speaking about your own seeds, and not other people's, unless you yourself have grown, sprouted or
harvested them. sorry, but i wouldn't want anyone speaking negatively about MY seeds...unless that had done the above.

I attempted to grow a 953 Langevin in '05 but it did not germinate. I should add that none of my seeds germinated on my first attempt last year so I can't really blame the seeds, due to my ignorance none of these seeds stood a chance. I only had one 953 so I ended up planting in it's place a 932.6 Willemse which is 953 x self. My keeper split on me at about day 30 so I didn't get any good seeds out of it. But I did get a late set to maturity and have seeds from it if you'd like. 932.6 Willemse x self.

Here is the proof the 953 is a bugger to get going.. I was 0 for 2. Then gave up.

I wasn't saying that all 953's didn't germ., and I did lose a 953 in 2004 (though I fried all my seeds that time, the 953 had nothing to do with it). Also I realize I can't speak for Don, but I live 3 minutes away from him and I know him better than I know any other grower, and I remember that he told me he only had like 17 seeds left in around Feb. of 03. My 370.6 (869.5 Calai X Self) seeds were very small and hard to germ. A couple other growers had similar experiences that year. AleX Noel.
