Okay folks, many of you do not know the legend of the Waller 837. Short story, this seed is the father of the Brown 1007 (Brown 769 X Waller 837), which is the mother of the Knauss 898, no explaination needed. The 1104 Hester seed is making it's own fame, having been the son of the Knauss 898 and throwing many over the chart fruits.

That would make this a lot of the 1104 Hester, and that seed's Grandfather, the 837 Waller. The 837 Waller produced one fruit the year Kevin Brown (my local growing buddy, as is Len Knauss - each live 10 miles from me) grew the 837 Waller. That fruit was supposed to be 175 pounds, but ended up almost 100 percent heavy to the chart at a whopping 340 pounds. After being cut open, there was no internal cavity, making me (and Kevin) believe that is the place the 898 Knauss fruits offspring get thier thick walls (i.e. 1156 Larsen).

The legend of where the 837 came from is also one for major league debate. Greg Waller, who "supposedly" grew the 837 lived in Ninevah (yes, like the bible) NY, which is just around the Cortland NY area. No background is really available on the 837 seeds parentage (lots of rumors, but none substantial to say, yeah, thats it), but it took third at a Ray Waterman event back a few years ago, I believe 1999 or so. Since then, no one has seen or heard of this Greg Waller fella.

So, I place up for bid in mysterious fashion, the last 837 Waller I know to exist, and it's grandchild, the 1104 Hester. Make your bids fun, worthwhile to select from, and grab a piece of history of the descendant of todays hot genetic strain.

Oh what the heck, I will also throw in a 1981 NY Mets Coca Cola team set and a Drew Bledsoe Upper Deck rookie card.

"The 837 Waller produced one fruit the year Kevin Brown (my local growing buddy, as is Len Knauss - each live 10 miles from me) grew the 837 Waller. "

Correction, when Kevin grew the 1007, not the 837 Waller.

This lot will remain up for one week, next Sunday, so lets see some creative bids! I will take the one I like the best, so there is no backing out from me! (That brick sounds like a great throw in....)

Again, lot is this:
1. 837 Waller
2. 1104 Hester
3. 1981 Mets team set (Kingman, Youngblood, etc)
4. Drew Bledsoe 1993 Upper Deck Rookie Card.

I have decided to go with pumpkinhead vic's offer of hats for the seeds. They will go good with for my golf tournament I attend in a month, the HILLBILLY Invitational. While the other offers are tempting, especially the trip to Aunt Carries, I felt this is the one to take. Email me Vic and I will send you my address and you can give me yours.
