Alex, funny stuff.. I coached track and field for 10 years, that is all I heard when the kids came from the weight room! My coaching buddy actually gave me a shirt last week that said that on it! Not many get it...

What track events do you coach? I have coached Junior High and High School shot/discus since 1987.
I don't think I've ever heard anyone use the phrase: "a ticket to the gun show." I have no idea what it means.

O.K. Uhhhh, maybe that one needs an explanation. Guns means muscles. The first time I heard it was in the movie "Anchorman". This guy is trying to impress a girl, he's kind of crazy, he says something like "The only way to impress a lady: 1 ticket to the gun show" He then starts pumping iron (a little bit of iron) and flexing his mini muscles in his office, and when the girl walks in he counts "1000, 1001, 1002" then "oh hi, I just did over a thousand you know". I'm sure it was around before that movie, but that made the joke explode in my school. It's funny every time, or maybe we're just dumb highschool kids, LOL! AleX.

tickets to the gun show commment goes like this at a high school weight room..
Kid - "Hey coach, you got tickets yet?"
Coach - " Tickets? Tickets for what?"
Kid (said, pointing to his newly found muscles from lifting weights) - "TO THE GUN SHOW!"
The gun show being his arms are now lethal weapons and should be registered with the FBI because he is so darn strong now. Kid thing..
As for beet, I coached all the events, throws being my forte. I was the head coach for teams 7 consecutive league championships, something they hadn't won before and reeled off 7 in a row. Fun stuff to be involved with.

What a great bunch of bids. I thought I would be wearing 12 new hats until the last bid by SPRINGWATER. I love the heavy pumpkins. 805 X 1260 etc. can't be beat for my taste.
So, I choose Springwater's bid. I'll e-mail you to get your address. Thanks a lot for all the bids.
I may have to do this again.
