I am willing to give a 670 Daigle to someone that will definitely plant this spring and share some of its seeds with me this fall.

My decision will be based on grower experience, # or % of seeds you are willing to share after harvest and it would help if I know who you are since there will need to be a lot of trust here.

If you email or post please provide the following:

Name
Location
Personal Best
State commitment to grow
I will send you X or X% of seeds from this pumpkin this fall.

We can make this deal fairle quick - say by monday. My hope would be get this to someone who will grow and to have some decent seeds to trade with this fall.
Thanks,
Brent W.

ps, if you are already growing a 670 and want to grow another or put your current seed on the shelf for next year that is ok. I would just ask for a periodic update to help document which pumpkin is grown from this seed. The seed is from Howard Dill in '03.

What has the 670 Daigle grown to make it so popular? I lost my AGGC priveledges, and do not know what was grown from that seed.

It has grown many nice looking orange pumpkins. Several of them weighing in at over 900 pounds. The 2 most famous, if you will, were the 1101 Northrup of 2004(large, heavy and beautiful) and the newest poster-child from 2005, the 1233.5 Reiss(larger, heavier and even more beautiful). A pretty nice seed, BF

To present the other side of the coin however...it has thrown it's unremarkables as well. But a good seed.

Okay Brent, I throw my services into the ring. Here is my info.. I will replace my 898 for the year with this seed if you are willing to put it in my patch. My 2 plants going in this year would be the 1354 Checkon and the 670 Dailge (898 Knauss if I dont hear from you).

Here is my info..

Name - Rocky Rockwell

Location - Sayre PA

Personal Best 898 Squash, 803 pumpkin

State commitment to grow - After an off year due, I have committed to growing again this year 110 percent. I had vandalism set me back 2 years ago to a 751 pounder (898 x 845) and vow to make a return. I feel my pumpkin depression is over, as I have prepped like a madman this year for the season. 2 truckloads of manure on 1200 sq ft of patch, along with 40 bags of maple leaves. I have already given my patch its initial tilling, putting under the winter rye and giving it a bath of 55 gallons worth of molasses and kelp to get the microbes working to help mix the new manure into the soil. My PH is 7.0 and I am rarin to go!

I will send you 100 of seeds from this pumpkin this fall, given the fact it has normal seed count.

I have offered the seed (via email). Once I have confirmation that he/she is still going to plant I will post here.

If you have not received an email I apologize in advance. I cannot respond to everyone because I am heading out of town for a couple weeks and having a hard time getting everything done beforehand.

I was inundated with solid, well thought out requests. And wow, what an extraordinary amount of patch prep you all have going this year. I wish I had more seeds to give.

Thanks again and good luck all!

And the 670 goes to......

Name: Christy Dieffenbaugher

Years growing: This will be my 5th

Location: Massillon, Ohio

Personal Best: 1053, 1032 last year.

State commitment to grow: I will plant this and cross it with "YOUR CHOICE" of these great orange producers I also have: 1101 Northrup, 604 Jutras, 846 Jutras, 1225 Jutras, 1233 Reiss, 869.5 Calai, 1370 Rose. Obviously these are good seeds, and I cant decide which to plant myself. Having you tell me will help. LOL.

I will send you X or X% of seeds from this pumpkin this fall: I will send you 97 % of the seeds. Seeds are not important to me at all other than having enough for myself for next year.
Thanks for your time and best wishes !!

Best of luck Christy!
