Frank: Send me an email and I can send you seed. I am squeezing in a 689.5 myself this year to add some "orange" to the patch.

Good choice for a seed. My daughter is growing one this year (with alot of dad's help as she is only 9). We are hoping for great color as the 689 and 869 both have it.

The 689.5 is an awesome grower!! I think someone will grow a nice one from this seed this year. It has grown alot of nice fruit in my area for new growers on a very consistant basis.

Frank, my cousin and I both grew 689's last year. If you are looking for orange then this is the seed to grow. We both ended up with beautiful orange colored pumpkins. My cousins took fist place for best looking pumpkin in our contest. Vince

I've grown the 689.5 for two years. Without a doubt, the best seed for orange, round, ribbed pumpkins. Hasn't grown much above 400 pounds, but then alot of those a pretty ugly. I'm growing one this year again with hopes of over 400 pounds.

Also, there is also at least one pure progeney (689.5 x 689.5) out there.......Marining 310. Might be more of these than Ned's 689.5's.
