I harvested the seeds from my 50 day old, 289 lb pumpkin, and after I dried them in my food dehydrator, I am wondering if they are any good. They seem skinny, and somewhat empty. I tried to germinate some with no luck, but I did not file the seeds first.
I think I screwed up......AGAIN.
Who's got something with a good shape and orange background? lol.

How did your Reiss turn out? I see Sweden Gustaffson wasn't pleased with his, but I would gladly take a pumpkin like his 1233. He claims it was deformed. The only thing I saw different about it was the skin wasn't smooth, but it was orange.
I'll get your address and send you a bubbler. You have any pictures?

Ended up at 369, It started late (figure 3 weeks) due to the hail. LongMont Pete's also grew the Reiss, his pic on my site on 8/15 looked a bit bigger and his ended up at 511. Both were very round, nice orange and ribbed well. Plant grew close to the ground, started a bit slower but did OK. If I didnt have the earlier hail and early cool down in Sept I think it would of gone a PB for me for sure. I will be planting this one again.....huh LB? Bubble me, Ill know my seed count after Saturday, tomorrow..........TheWIz
