I found out through the Mallorn list and the AGGC site that the 788 Dopp came from a Langevin 350 est. Its a 935 Lloydx567.4 Wallace. It also produced another 700lb+ and an 800lb+ These seeds including mine were sold by Don Langevin either with or without a book order. If I read correctly about 70-80 packs were sent out. I think thats it for them. I have 2 left. I plan to use 1 this year and 1 for backup. This year I will cross it with something. As you know, the 788 is open pollianted. It was my "accidental success" you know what I mean if you read my diary!!!

Ya i remeber that it was open pollinated, i just wanted ot make sure. Sounds like that is a good seed. If you can, try to save one for 2002. I would like to help you pick out a good male pollinater seed for the 350, or even selfing it to preserve the seed line, that actually would be a good idea. good luck next year....i'll be looking forward to all the names of your pumpkins. Tubby was the best, but just wasn't meant to be.
