Both are right. Word had avery lable templates right in the program. Go to Tools, letters and mailings, then envelopes and labels. Go to options and pick the type of label you have. Then you can chose to print only one label or choose new document and have a whole page of labels you can fill out.

You can always try the avery software. I've never tried it, but I hear it works fine.

Glenn, you can create a table in your Word program and select from there the labels you want to make. Start with a new document, go to tools and then mail merge wizard, then select labels. Follow the steps, but when it asks you where you're going to get your info from go to browse. Select the table you created and follow the steps. Select only those you want labels for. Don't forget to match your fields. . . . sounds complicated, but. . if you can grow a giant, you can create labels. .. Erin

Glenn,

Is free & already installed easy enough?

I prefer to keep my address book in Outlook. This is easily exported to Excel. Once saved as an Excel document you can initiate a "mail merge" to any Word based Avery label document for quick printing. Word has all of the popular Avery labels already formatted. All of this stuff is already installed on all Window's '98 & XP PCs as far as I know.

If not, send an email to Tom & ask him about Office Suite 2003. Better yet, buy a Dell Inspiron 9300 (already obsolete so get the newer version) from Tom & life is good.
