I haven't grown attempted to grow a pumpkin since 2003 but I saved the seeds I got from this web site. They have been kept in the kitchen cabinet in the same bubble wrap I received them in. Do you all think they would germinate? Which ones would be the best to grow? I'm just going to type what is on the packs:
Beachy Cross F-723 Bobier M-705 Stelts
450.5 Beachy Cross F-691 Nesbitt 2000 M-974 Mettler1998#2
Beachy Cross F-744 Welty2000 M-705 Stelts 1999
Beachy Cross F-731 Stucker 2000 M-876.5 Lloyd
598.5 D.Beachy F- 846 Calai 1999 M- 616 Holland 1991
617 Andrews 02 455 Andrews 00 x 846 Calai 99
Thank you for any help you could give

"How old is too old?" I don't think there is an exact age, though seed saving and storage are the best determining factors. I do know I germed and grew the 14 year old 827 Holland '92 this year. So, 14 years isn't too old, lol. As far as the choices you listed, without knowing there progeny off the top of my head, you sure can't argue with a 723 x 705 cross. IMHO, BF

lol to meddlesome. I know of at least one 617 grown this year...made a nice shaped orange fruit.(and I also grew its mother this year-- even older if you do the math..lol)..should be good for years to come.

450.5 Beachy (705 Stelts remake) Beachy 731 x 876.5 (846 Calai remake) Not to say the other crosses don't look good but they aren't real similar to proven crosses.
