I crossed the 1084 Langevin [1068 x 1097.5] with the 575 Berard [1370 x 1420], to get my 812. It had a nice dark orange color. I have high hopes for big and orange from it's offspring. Email me for my address if you are interested. thanks KathyT

I grew the 575 also. i really liked it as well, but crossed it with the 1420 Larue to backcross it. Nice cross you have. I agree with the above.

Thank You Very Much for the offer Kathyt. This year I am giving away seeds to new grower and contestants. I am also begining my own seed collection. I don't have anything special to trade but do have a few seeds which were produced from a @ 300 pound Pumpkin I grew my first year out 2003. I purchased the seeds from howarddill.com, not sure exactly what lineage, I think it was Calai X Davies and in the 800 pound + range. Offspring have been grown by first timers only and have produced several pumpkins at 200 lbs. with little attention. The pumpkins which were grown from these seeds so far ahve all been either bright orange or Dark Green.
My email is FriendlyPharmer@aol.com Hoping to hear from you. Thanks again and Happy Holidays!!

Hi Kathy , just to provide a bit of info for the post here, the 575 Berard was the seed that you used to grow your 812 this summer and was pollinated with the 1084 Langevin... correct ?

I guess the confusion is how I wrote the cross above 575 x 1084 is how it should have been written. sorry Kathy

KathyT I sent you a bubble on Monday. Please ignore how large it is, the bubbles were free. LOL I've included a few seeds from three of the heirloom tomatoes that were favorites of the chefs I grew tomatoes for. They get to be very large tomatoes but they are not for competition, they are for eating. I also tossed some HollyHock seed of a variety called zebrina. If you need a further description just send me an email, I have pictures and descriptions of each.
Thank You again KathyT!!!!
