2007 is going to be my first year at attempting to grow AG pumpkins and I was wondering if anybody has some good seeds to plant for next year. I do not have much to trade (as far as seends go), but let me know if there is somethings I could possibly give in exchange.

For a decent seed (which produced 1 around 1000 pounds) and a couple of my own from '06.....

Who holds the utah state record for pumpkins? and how big was it?

Gordon Tanner pretty much owns the Utah top 10. His 963 '06 (1225 Jutras x 869 Calai) is the Utah state record.

That would make a nice Utah seed...great color too.

Gordon's 963 was the state record for about 5 minutes (broke his prev year's record of 932 which broke his prev record of 906...) Kenny Blair's 1104 from a 1247 Handy seed was the record this year. Just fyi...

The 1104 Blair needs to be submitted to AGGC. That's a kinduva big deal to go unnoticed. Sorry.

Don't worry Sam...you'll get plenty of seeds. More than anyone could ever grow.

you should join the Utah Giant pumpkin growers groop http://www.utahpumpkingrowers.com/

They will have some seminars and different things throught the year on how to grow giant pumpkins. and if you join you get alot of good seeds including a 963 Tanner and a 1104 Blair and alot of other great seeds!
