Hi all, I'm still pretty new to this. I tried a few years back with seeds from the local garden center and I wasn't impressed. The "Gaint Atlantics" weren't much bigger than my regular pumpkins. A little while ago, I read somewhere on this forum that some of the packaged seeds aren't very good. So I'm wondering, do any of you fine people have any seeds that would be good for the north-centeral Mass area (very close to Nashua, NH) that you'd be willing to part with? Or are they all pretty much the same? I'd really appreciate it.
Also, what's your opinion on starting seeds indoors? If I do, when do you think I should start for my area?
Thank you very much!

Hello, I have some seeds from my patch in Vermont that I would be willing to give you. We are typically even colder and shorter seasoned than your area. Check out my 2006 diary to see if you are interested. Only cost you a self addressed stamped bubble envelope. If interested please email me at jkpayoung@hotmail.com

Living in Mass. you have some excellent growers all around you.
i suggest you join the New England Giant Pumpkin Growers Association as a start. They als ohold a very good weigh off at topsfield fair each October.
Id also suggest you find a mentor like john in vermont etc, to be able to talk to on occasion. these are very basic skills you have asked about and need to be mastered somewhat before trying to grow a monster.
