I am sitting on the fence as to grow the 1048 Companion or the 1233 Reiss. What do most of you think of the offspring for each seed? I am growing for pretty, not monstrous this year in the pumpkin side. I will be growing the 895 Hester for size on the squash side though, I am after that green jacket..

Rocky my 1048 last year was nice shape and dark orange. kevin was good enough to send me another 1048 this year. 1048 x 1101 or 892Dill. im going orange here.

I grew the 1233 last year. A nice deep orange, but monster splits occurred early at 700 pounds. I don't remember seeing any pumpkins from the 1233 that grew over 1000 pounds, and I had the impression that a majority had problems with splits. I crossed mine with the Checkon 1469, hoping the progeny would be big and orange. I'll let you know come September.
