TheBiZ wants to prove his 2007 Rookie success wasnt Rookie Luck....HA!..he just had a great teacher, and a great seed......lol

For 2008 were are going- mano y mano, , head to head, Rat against Rat........same seed, same dirt, back to back.....But we need two of the same seeds.....

Looking for a second 845, ( 898 in hand) OR (two other high genetic seeds) identical for our battle of the IZ's in 2008......Something with a chance to GO BIG and heavy because......

We would also like to take it one step further and auction off the pumpkins and also the seeds .....locally or otherwise, thats why we need the great genetics...... We will make it an media event and donate money to The Orange Angel Foundation. Let us know what you all think......
People helping People......

Please email me or post here......Thanks Folks.....

Hey Wiz

I have an idea, why not do Beaty and the Beast, each of you grow 2 seeds, say the 1016 Daletas and the 1502 Wallace, I think that would be very cool. Double the fun and do 1016 X sib and 1502 X sib

Gary, why not take the best cross that you or the Biz made this year and use them as your Wiz vs Biz seed. You would both be able to start several and cull down to the best plant or 2 which could be a big plus. It would also prove or disprove that seed.

You guys should grow a team colorado chosen colorado seed....prove your own club seed.

artek,I think youre wasting money to buy a hot seed if you have to pay many hundreds of dollars for it. All the famous seeds are still a hit or miss situation. you'd be better off(at least richer) getting this years seed(for free) with the great genetics from seeds with famous genes in them(842 eaton,723 bobier,845 bobier,898 knauss,1068 wallaceand 998.6 pukos.just my opinion

I like Ron's idea. Grow one of your own seeds and prove it out. We should all be growing more of are own seeds.

I'm planning on growing my own seed next year (757 Grande)...the 1502 X 805 Pukos...my original intent on this idea was to create some excitement and interest in our hobby and have somebody less fortunate benefit. I was hoping growing two good seeds would maybe have a positive impact on getting a sponsor( company ) to pledge a certain amount per lb we grow and then donate the proceeds to a charity. Everybody has had great ideas and thank you !! The Wiz and I are still trying to figure out how we do this. We have talked about keeping it locale but want to involve all fellow pumpkin growers across BP and the country. :)
