Was hoping to attract those who I sent very nice or hard to come by seeds. Most seeds where sent as pairs to do crosses with, or as a back ups for a seed you had along with one of mine to make sure the cross got done. The deal I made was simple, keep me up to date and plant what you asked for. Out of the 10 who promised I heard from one almost weekly and only once from another.
Seed where not planted, or the back ups I sent got used instead of your own. I let go of some nice stock 842,1016,1180,and lots of old stock for color.
The 946.5 Geerts,887 Orrs, 712 Kuhn,1367.5 Rose,805 Pukos, are the only seeds I got crossed just as the grower said he would. Dean C did everything he said he would do and I will send him seed anytime, its called trust in a grower. As far as the rest go, the free seed giving is over.
I gave up the lease on the land that I used for horses and pkn's and only got one plant in. New patch is ready and will be full of Dean's crosses he did for me.
Beware the guys who beg and give nothing in return.
I feel better, been needing to vent about this for months.

I also must applaud the work by Dean Christopherson and Clarence Koch with my seeds. All I asked for was to get the crosses done, and hopefully get the pumpkins to 500-700 pounds. As it turned out, mine grew their heaviest official pumpkins this year (1065, 1173, and 1121). Not too bad for lowly "selfed" seeds. Thanks again guys.

Selfed seeds stink Andy...genetic mutants....and those low wieght ones like your 125.....rubbish ! They'll never grow anything. Squash...never get a big one of them either....foooey.....Go Dean..Clarence...Andy....etc......prove them wrong !

What i like is that Ken didn't throw out the names of those who he feels did him wrong....he instead only gave the name of the individual that he was praising. Ken, it was a classy way to vent!
