Looking for 1159 Richards and 1068 Papez, didnt get any response to my emails. Maybe I'm too late? Please answer.
I'm also looking for a proven squash seed that throws the darkest color possible, e.g. one of the gadberry line (834, 823, 611).
Please email me at scaryplants@gmx.de
Thanks!

Thanks for your replies! @ Kunz: Sorry, thats not really what I'm looking for. I already have an original 848, it will be planted along with some other great squash seeds. But I'm still missing a good color producer in my lineup, I want to grow a beautiful dark green/black squash. So I'd be very happy about a 611 Gadberry or something else with the same color.

Ever think of the 792 Olsen or 1040 Van Rompaey? They should be easy to get and both can throw very dark squash.

Good advise Brad. If I ever go to the green side those seeds would be on my short list. A couple other seeds to consider would be the 946.5 Carlson-Peterson and the 1086 Carlson-Peterson that grew the 946.5

Now I've got the 1068, thanks again for your replies!
@ Brad: I already have a couple of 792.9 and will soon get the 1040. Both are great seeds for sure and I'm looking forward to plant them. I know that some of their progeny really had a very nice color, but I think it's not the darkest color possible. Take a look at this one, which was grown on the 611 Gadberry:

Or this one on the 834 Gadberry:

@ Steve: Any picture of 1086, 946.5 or some of their offspring? I don't have access to the aggc.

Scaryplants, that Gadberry sure does produce a nice dark green squash. The 1086* Carl/Peterson also produces some of the nicest dark green squash I have seen also.

I'm surprised there are no progeny of the 946.5 Carlson/Peterson 06 listed on the AGGC. Did anyone grow this seeds last year? If I grew giant squash, I think it would be the first seed I'd plant.

@ Doug: I've found one that was produced by the 946.5:

It's the left one. What a beauty!
