Hello,

I made an order with Howard Dill for 1290.Poirier seeds but it seems they are all gone. Does anyone have any or know where I can find them?

I've been growing Prizewinners and finally want to try one of the bigger ones.

Please let me know. Thanks.

things for you to look forward to:

1. not all of the biggest pumpkins ever grown had to come
from big pumpkins to begin with, (for example, you can get a 1200+ pound fruit from a seed that came from a
600-something# fruit or even smaller)
so as long as the genetics work in your favor,
once about 15 other growers offer you seeds for free for as little as a bubble pack sent to them with return postage
to come back to you, 2. you can have some of the best genetics there are from these other really nice growers.
they'll even tell you what they think a certain seed will do for you but don't hold them to it, lol, because even with proven seeds, you can be surprised.

2a. otherwise, the seeds to actually look for are the seeds
that actually grew the fruits that you are so fond of,
but they might be very hard to get because everybody ELSE is fond of them too! in any event most of us have been right where you are today----ready to step-on-up!
good for you ---pumpkinpal2

Cu, read thru the posts on this message board, no 1290 seeds offered up, but lots of great seeds for the price of a couple envelopes and postage. Send a short email telling who you are and requesting seeds. When they send you an address, you send a self addressed bubble envelope w/ POSTAGE!!! Good idea to enclose a thank-you note in with the bubble pack!!! Good luck, and GROW EM BIG!!! Peace, Wayne

Finch 203

You need to get the 1307 Poirier. It is the (500 Northrup X 772 Poirier) It has just as much chance of having the preffered genetic traits as its sister. Oh yeah and get one for your buddy Finch 203 if you get a chance. I had the exact same experience.
