Wow! That is all I can say in response to my seed help question. I knew there was some commercial type operations that had seeds for big pumpkins, but what fun is that? I wanted to buy some from a real grower first hand at a fair price or even cheaper. All in all, thank you everyone for your response's and I will be in touch. I have been trying for ten years to grow a big pumpkin. I have done a lot of research on it too, but there is so much shade in my yard I don't have a lot of luck, but I am just going to keep on trying.

a chain saw, a couple of friends and a commericial chipper schredder will take care of the shade problem.

I guess this is the wrong post to complain in, but we don't have any trees, just barren and flat farmland. I could use a good shade tree.

Chainsaw might be fun, but then I would have to take the fence down too, and take take our house and the neighbor's down too. One of the trees is ours but the shade is too good. Other trees are neighbor's. Garden is already in the sunniest part of the yard as it is. Still, its all about fun and hope.

just girdle the tree to kill it and let the light in.Youll have a few years before you have to cut it down.
