How do most of you send your bubble mailers for seed requests? I have 6x9 size #0 mailers and am thinking about putting them inside of a 9x12 catalog envelope. Maybe overkill so how is it done? Thanks in advance. Rick

i just send my bubble inside a 6x9 ready post document mailer, it saves wasting two bubbles and is more convenient

Last year I just asked.....can I send you a check for $3.00 to cover postage and envelope and most everyone agreed. I don't want anything but an address and I will pay postage when I ship out seeds! But then that is just me!

Rick,
Agree. No need to send a bubble in a bubble. Just send one. Make it easy on the grower sending seeds back to you. The current postage rate for bubble mailers (size & thickness) is $0.83 for the first ounce and $0.17 for each additional ounce. The average bubble with seeds weighs 3.5 ounces. Therefore, put $1.34 in postage on the bubble or $1.51 to be safe. This way the grower won't have to dwal with putting stamps on the bubble.

Keep in mind if sending seed requests to Canada that US stamps don't work for return postage. I usually ask for $3 to cover postage etc. I don't think this is unreasonable. If someone is sending me their seeds, i don't ask for any $ and vice versa, If I am sending seeds, I don't usually include any $ for postage (unless a very special request)

Just a suggestion here but instead of sending money you could send some new stamps from your country to a different country where the person with the seeds are. That person should pay for the postage in his country. This would allow the person who sent you the seeds to send a self addressed and stamped envlope into your country to trade for someone elses seeds. Hope that wasn't to confusing.

I ordered canadian stamps from the Canadian postal service. It worked well and hopefully made it easier for the growers
