I have some 805 Pukos, 652 Pukos and many other
good seeds to trade.
I'm also offering up to $200 to outright purchase
one or more.
Private sales are not looked down upon by the Dill's.
I need to have proof that the 845 is genuine though.

Maybe private sales aren't look down upon by the Dill's, but...
Where in the Hell would be the ethic of this friendly sport if all the people do such kind of things. If I look ahead on that way, only see distrust and suspicion. Remember: seeds don't came with a birth mark, and when money comes to town...

Michel i understand and applaud your desire to be successful in growing a big pumpkin. I figure that you feel an 845 bobier 00 would go a long way in helping you reach your goal. We know that there had been quite a bit of money thrown around after seeds. and you are certainly free to buy any seed you want at and any price. so you are probably saying why are they picking on me. there is a pumpkin growers ethic that most of us subscribe to that says try to keep the money out of it. it has worked so far and trust us is the best way to continue with this sport/hobby. work at it. develop a network of friends. obtain and trade seeds. if you can't find what you want then settle for something else. there are thousands of great seeds out there and a few "hot" ones. I'm convinced that hundreds of seed out there would be just as "hot" if they were as widely planted. and as many growers out there can tell you "big" money for seeds is not the way to go. most all who go that route are dissappointed with their results. you could get lots of testimonials right here on BP. if you're still really really want to pay top $$$ for a 845 i suggest you look for one in an upcoming auction and buy it then. that is a more socially acceptable way to buy hot seeds. good luck.

Well said! Giving seeds to someone for free or trading means: whatever will happen to you next season (no germination, flat vine, small pumpkin...) there´s noone to blame for that. If I would sell a seed and this happened to the buyer - heavy pain in my stomach.

I give out seeds freely to anyone that asks me for seeds.
The only time money comes in to play is if I really want
a seed so bad that I can't sleep from harvest to planting time. (this is the case with the 845 Bobier 00 this year)

I know it's my fault and quite a bit of lost money if the seed(s) I buy
don't do well but I've had a bit of luck so far and I truly
believe that God knows what's in my heart and also that I have never accepted money except shipping costs for a seed. It's my business what I do with my own money and look at it like any other hobby. If you go skiiing you have to buy equipment, gas money, lift tickets etc... If you don't pay.......you don't ski...period!

I'm not a Christian maniac or anything but I believe that with all the free seeds and genuine help I offer all growers that ask me.....that I'll keep growing 'em bigger.

I mean no disrespect to the money-free growers here but I respect your opinions and hope you respect mine.

Why can't we just end this discussion?...

Good luck to everyone this coming year!
Michel

This doesnt have very much to do with you michel but, Imagine if Howard Dill didnt get a patent on his seeds and what not, Imagine how this sport would be different.

Ben
I will never pay more than 10 dollars for a seed.
