Galeaux pumpkins from rares seeds.com is a great place. I order from them for the last 7 yrs. they keep growing and growing. Sign up for their free catalog.
But order early they have a habbit of selling out early.
I try to order and plant one new/odd variety of pumpkina yr. Here are some of my favs Keep in mind that over the yrs I have tried over 50 rare types of pumpkins and winter squash American tonda green with yellow stripes 5-12lbs Queensland Blue plant more seeds lower germ rates MArnhia di chiggi Juane de Gros Paris pumpkin its a giant cinderella pumpkin. Jarradale it was ok but queensland is better Long Island cheese Flat White Boer I couldnt get a mature fruit this yr. It seemed like a ok pumpkin type. Yokohoma a blcak Japanese pumpkin 3-5 pounds max. The down side to this plant is it takes up 150 sq ft and you may only get 2-3 pumpkins. But the black color(like a coal black color) and wrinkly feel makes it very cool lookin. I have seen em in a light ash color still very cool .Just don't expect many fruits. but the ones you get are very pretty.
One of my favs is a blue pumpkin(I was lucky to be given seeds a couple yrs a go and have a couple seeds to plant in 09 very rare, I have not found it in any seed catalog.) The blue pumpkin has salmon colored spots on the blue pumpkin very pretty. Hope to have seeds to give away in 09 I am hoping to get my seed invetory up in 09 to be able to give some of these seeds away. But with some fruits i may only get reliable seeds.

Don't forget the Rouge vif d' Etampes aka Cinderella. They're attractive, prolific, and tasty. Also have to cast another vote for the Galeux d'Eysines. I really enjoyed growing it this year.

From its heft it is a very dense thick walled thing (it's a eating pumpkin).
I crossed it with the 711 Bosworth, which before it blew apart was a very vigorous white fruit. Email me if you are interested in this bastardized seed. I'll send you seed when I open it up (I'm saving it to eat this winter). Disclaimer: I really have no idea how these will turn out, but to my knowledge it will be something no one else has grown before. I know I'm planting it!
