I would love anything big, and round, and orange for my kids jack-o-lanterns. Crosses would be fine. How much space do the plants take up? I want to be sure not to infringe on the AGs! Thanks again.

Got a good prizewinnder seed for you. The seed grew me a 141 pounder and the plant only took up about 175 sq feet. Pics can be seen at the bottom of this page.

What's a typical weight for a prizewinner?

Not an expert on Prizewinners, but I believe the average is around 80 pounds, but they can get to a max of about 200 pounds.

I bought a pack of prizewinner seed that said they could reach 300 lbs. And I read somewhere on this site awhile back that someone managed to grow one just shy of 400.

I have never kept any of my Prizewinner seeds since it is a hybrid and I was not sure what I would get the following year. There was a post about a month ago where growers were trading their "weird" seeds from pumpkins, gourds, sunflowers, etc - I can no longer find it - does anyone know of it. Thanks, Swaintech
