Does anyone have comments about the 1083.5, 1059 and/or the 766 j johnsen seeds such as color or genetic history.

I may be niave but I would think that a grower capable of growing 2 pumpkins over 1000 lbs would know the genetics of his seed. Do growers sometimes intentionally withold this info? If so, why, to keep others from trying to copy there crosses?

I would like to know about them too. One can only assume they have good genetics though. How many people gets two 1000+ pumpkins in the same year?

Actually I found the history on the 766 by clicking on the seed name in the seed list but the other two has nothing listed.

The 1083.5 was grown off the 735 Pukos crossed with the 1007 Brown and the 1059 was off the 876 Ly crossed with the 705.5 Werner.

I seen the 1083.5 in person. It was MASSIVE! The color was a grey or cream in my opinion. If you wish I could send you a couple pics of it, just drop me an e-mail request. Man was it huge!!!!

They have been approved and they are in the photo gallery. I will associate one of them with the genetics page. Also, I have the 1083.5 genetic data but have not had a chance to put it in yet.
