I work with someone who lost his wife to cancer 2 years ago. The lost his 3 children last July when a truck driver was talking on his cell phone and claimed he didn't see them when he changed lanes and forced them off the road. His 19 year old daughter and 17 year old son were killed instantly. His 14 year old daughter died at the hospital an hour after he got there.

He likes to garden and we got together and bought him the giant pumpkin growing books and a new tiller. Then I was told the seed packs they sell at garden centers aren't that good and I need to look for them on-line. I don't know what to look for and I hope someone can help him out.

First Thing I would buy him, is a computer to get him online. There is so much information here at BP, that he will need to read himself.
As far as seeds are concerned, just look down this forum and send out Bubble envelopes, there are lots of great seeds to be gained just for the asking.

I would also mention that it would be good to get him involved in the local club. If youd/he would like not only will I pay for a membership in our club for him I would offer to pay for his membership to a local club. My family has lost 2 uncles and a VERY dear mother in law this last yr and I know some of the loneliness he may be feeling. I will put him in my nightly prayers.
