Does anyone know what the parents of these seeds are from the seed list on this site?
1.) 530 Gadberry 2000 (est)
2.) 410 Gadberry 2000 (est)

think Gads said the 410 Gadberry was the first offspring he had from a 810 Dill 1999....Not sure of the other.

yeah did a site search Gerry talks about the 530 as a cross from a 1016 Larue and a 1-ton Waterman...Don't know what that means...but he said the 1 ton waterman was a 1056 Zehr X 1006 greer...also has both crosses for the 410...site search on 530 Gadberry. Hope that helps!

Ok, the Gadberry 530# came from a 1016 LaRue Female crossed with the 1 ton Warerman cross (1056 Zehr X 1006 Greer) I am not sure of what the "1-ton" cross female weighed as Waterman didn't say on the seed package, but the pumpkin from the 1-ton cross on the main vine was over 300# in late July! Jack LaRue came over to see the 1-ton cross and was all impressed, and like a greedy idiot I threw a ton of fertilizer at it to get even more. Three days later it blew up.... The 530 was a beautiful shaped fruit with a pale orange color, the only draw back that it had was a very short stem, but the 1-ton cross pumpkin had a nice long stem. I have never tried to grow it's offspring but it certianly has big time genetics. Oh and BTW I grew it in a new patch area that was only 300 sqft. Give her a try and best wishes to all.

Yes Thunderbelly, They are starting to get a little old so germination my be sketchy. Better plant them soon as I would hate to see them go to waste! My 80+ year old friend Robert Critchfield grew a "Thunderbelly" I gave him this last season and when I checked in on him in late August he had it up over 500 pounds. I was in the middle of moving so I didn't see how it turned out I will call him soon and see.

you might want to split the hairs a little further
on that 1-ton cross---if it matters to anyone, i believe
it was 1061 Zehr X 1006 Greer, or vice-versa.....
just for anyone with any genetic concerns about it---

Thanks pumpkinpal,
You are correct, look on the front page of Langevin's How to grow world class giant pumpkins-2book and at the bottem you will see a picture of them both!
