Ok, everyone please use this thread for talking/ debating/ influencing or what ever you need to help each decide what they would like to vote on. You can express your opinion here, but a vote will only be official when it is e-mailed to Myself AND SteveMan. Please take the time to think this out and when you have made your individual and FINAL decision Send your vote to walcottpumpkin@aol.com & colonan14@yahoo.com. We must require that only one vote per person please, otherwise it will get to complicated on our end....meaning don't CHANGE your vote after youve sent it in. Please provide your Real name, BP.com handle, and mailing address on your vote form please. Id guess it would be fair for ONLY intended participants to vote on this???? Everyone agree? The tenative due date for votes to be in will be this Saturday before 12pm Central Time. That way we should be able to post the winner on Sunday! HAVE FUN.... Mike & Steve

Even though I'm probably not going to participate in this ( I'm already planned out) I am enjoying reading this as opposed to the normal winter fighting. Good job Mike & Steve.

oooo, good idea tim....thats a great idea...should set a separate voting page for squash as well and have people do both competitions or which ever one they choose....it would be up to them, but any one can vote, which could skew things but, its just a friendly competition.

Hay what about the 190 seeds from my 410 sitting on the seed page of BP? They produced my 644 ORANGE pumpkin the next year???

NP Case..I would glad to set up a page for both.

Gads..What is the parents of your 410? I will add it. I've already got most of the pumpkin voting page done but I still need one more seed to fill the 20th slot..

Any other suggestions??

Tim

Tim, that would have been a great idea but we have already started accepting e-mail votes. Would have been easier, wish Id known you could have helped us with that earlier. Next year for sure that will be the way to go! Not to late for the squash vote. Thanks for the offer, Mike

Tim the 410 (00) is from the 810 Dill (99) Female X 1-Ton Waterman cross (99) Male. The !-Ton Cross was from the 1061 Zehr X 1006 Greer. Hope that helps, the seeds are big and white, the fruit throws long wide very orange pumpkins with long stems.

I voted for the 840 as a way of saying thankyou to Ken,
the 805 Pukos grew the UK's largest in 2001 and also because it will go back on the seed page with the second batch of new seeds and be easy for everyone to get.

Yes everyone please send Me or Steve an E-MAIl to cast your vote. Just to let everyone know, it looks like the 840 Is in first place..... Keep the votes coming. I have had a few emails asking how to get the seeds....After the seed is chosen, I will ask that grower if they want to send the seeds to me for distribution or if he wants everyone to send him a bubble pack. The directions for obtaining a seed will be posted in the future. Mike/Steve
