Hi friends, I am Carlos from Spain, I used to post with the nickname of Don Quijote, but this is a new count with a new name and e-mail address. Why that? Because my life got a lot of changes, divorce, etc. Well I still having the Spanish pumpkin and watermelon records, but I think not to plant these beasts any more, at least not soon. So I do not want my best seeds to get bore in the fridge, so I thought in look for somebody interested in buy them. For the people who don't know me, can ask to famous growers like Geneva Emmons, Joel Holland, Jake van Kooten, J.L. Duchezeau, o M.Martin. I made a selection with my very best and it is as follows, one of each, originals and garantedd, of course: 845 Bobier 1068 Wallace 1370 Rose 664.5 Liggett 1097.5 Beachy 1016 Daletas 1182 Daletas 961 Daletas 1225.4 Jutras 1142 Van Kooten 582 Hester 707 Toftness
You can see the envelops in my diary: "paskinel"
Any one interested please write to paskinel@telefonica.net

were is all the bashing that these seeds are being sold ? Most times some one would ask if they were purchased at a auction or received by the growers that grew them ?

This is a quandry. On the one hand, to sell a seed given to you for growing has always been taboo. On the other hand, when people try to sustain the way the hobby used to be they get stomped on here at bigpumpkins as close minded and elitist...part of the old boy network, a frustrated Bush supporter, or worse-a squash lover. You all let the new attitudes take over so now you will suffer !! On the third hand...yes, I have three.... I've never met a guy who got divorced and walked away with a fair share of assets after the wife and lawyers got done so there's a soft spot in my book for Carlos' situation....G

Every time this surfaces it's the same thing, as G said.
very few of these things get posted, and i don't think anybody realizes how many seeds or collections are sold, in the black market.
But I can see the tides turning on this type of deal. We're getting more people wanting the seeds and posting it, than negatives,
Damn G you have 3, I only have 2, and yes that is the seed packet.
G trade you a 975 Andrews for a 1068, Its a squash growers dream seed, and since your the Green dude, you should take me up on the deal.
As far as a response from him, He's probably sorting through 200 plus email, I'm probably low on that number

He can sell my 1097. I dont care one bit. Rather have someone new buy it and it still have a 1% chance of being grown.

Carlos visited my patch 4 years ago. I don't know what his circumstances are now, nor should it be any of our business unless he chooses to divulge it.
All of the seeds posted are in their original packets. Unless there are caveats attached to the seeds growers send out, the person should be able to do with them as he/she pleases. that has always been my philosophy.
Selling seeds you receive freely is not what I endorse. However, when great seeds like Carlos' come up occasionally, there's no shortage of folk lining up to buy them. He is welcome to sell my 1142 and hope it gets planted.

here, here!
i would be HAPPY to ever hear of one of my seeds being sold or feverishly sought-after. i am just sorry to have not been on here to notice the post as soon as it came up. but, that's why i'll be at the auction tonight! lol. hmmm...recession? naaaahhh. i just won-back $19 from $20 of scratch-offs. i'm good-to-go. PS--Jake, Sir, i hope to plant the 1142 this year. maybe thrice. it is time to grow a monster. eric g
