If you are looking for other giant vegetables for limited space, then I would try for root crops or things that go up instead of outward. (Corn, sunflowers, amaranth, millet, sorghum, etc.) and you can grow beans (yard long, giant runner beans)up those plants P&P Seed is one of the best places to go for giant vegetables. http://www.pandpseed.com/
Some places in the UK (sell to the USA) that have some large varieties: http://www.medwynsofanglesey.co.uk/ http://www.mammothonion.co.uk/

You need giant veggies (not pumpkins) to get into the giant veggie exchange which is held each year. Messages are posted in the Other Gardening Message Forum on Bigpumpkins. It's around the beginning of the year that the messages start going out.

Howdy Billium!
Also a Massillonian here currently residing in North Lawrence. Keep in touch, I should have tomato seeds from the current Ohio State Record Tomato this fall. Your welcome to a few provided the tomato has seeds in it. LOL I can be easily found at www.perrysgreenhouse.com or every Saturday at the Massillon Farmer's market selling Garlic.

Oh i would love some huge tomato's! Maybe try something new next year. I always grow pink Brandywine's in my garden. I dont like much gel in my tomato's so they work great. I want to try to grow a few giant veggie next year and possibly try for a state record.

Billium, I had to authorize your membership prior to you being able to view and interact with the site and community. It's how I keep the Spammers and other riff raff out. LOL
You should be good to go.
