How about doing a sort of sibb and crossing two of the 898 X selfed seeds with each other? I think Tom(Bohica) has an 898 X self growing this year.

Did I win anything? I found something that has'nt been done, I have'nt given up looking for a sibbed 898, maybe because they are hard to come by and usually used for pollinating.

Richard are you hinting at what your next hot cross is going to be? I hope you are planning to bring your fruit to Red Wing or Stillwater. I will be at both events. I do expect you to bring her to one of the two events though! Every fruit counts buddy so get her on the list. We plan to be taking high resolution photos of the growers and their fruit on the scale this year. Something you can hang on the wall at work at say, "what's up now chumps!?"

I'm flat out asking, I would like to cross a 689Beauchemin into this years 212Brouillard09 (1128Beauchemin x 340Beauchemin) it has 5 generations of 898Knauss, 212pound pumpkins and 11mpg (truck to drive it 70 miles), not sure how bad I want that ribbon. For now I really like the 898Knauss, a super pollinator,,not a dead beat dad.

Richard, Alex makes a great point. If you want people to grow the seed best to put it on a scale.

I think I have something better than the 898Knauss..the 820Beauchemin (689Beauchemin x 898Knauss) 5yr Knauss cross..1074Beauchemin, 500Beauchemin, 1314Beauchemin,689Beauchemin, 820Beqauchemin. The 820Beauchemin looks like a monster in Jim-B's diary.
