Definitely some great genetics. Anybody know when they are going to carve it up?

You'd all do well to wait for the fruit to be opened.

That is a good point Steve. I couldnt even imagine what Don was thinking when he opened his 1662 and found no seeds. Cant harvest eggs without any chickens.

I think that seed from record pumpkins like that are a little overrated and should best be grown by experienced growers with the best resorces and growing location in order to reach the seed/genetic maximum potential. Theres endless amount of lesser known seeds that have great potential in the ever advancing hobby of giant pumpkin growing.

Hi Steve! That is kinda where I was Going with this. Usually someone posts begging for seeds from the latest world record very quickly. Often without even knowing what the cross is. Kinda pointless really when no one even has any of the seeds yet if there are even any to be had. So I thought I would beat them to the punch with a lighthearted post and poke a little fun at the same time. Hapdad
