i can do the work of 3 guys,i have grown ag for years,i know every thing about them, what they like and what they dont like, but in the past my go was to grow many huge fruit on 1 plant, and thousands of plants, but that will change this year,so this year i will start to concentrate on growing 1 huge fruit per plant, and yes i have jasper,he lives about 15 minutes from my house, the only thing that will be a big change will be,instead of tending to 5,000 ag plants, there will be alot less than that.

Just wondering ,,Rick , it seems like a lot for 1 person to keep the female & male flowers all pure to pollinate with..

Figure one hour every morning per 50 plants in the field. Which will only net you 0-5 successful pollinations. Figure another 30 minutes the night before writing down which flowers are gonna open, covering them, and collecting pollen. I've done the drill....... Tom Beachy

hey, rick here's a real time saver, i think-- the chip-clip idea of Boily's in Australia is one i'm gonna elaborate on, and another is just stick a 4'dowel with a pretty pink flag on it to indicate at-a-glance where the foxy females are, and about %50 of the fruit i pollinated this past season were with flowers cut off the night before and allowed to open (separated well, of course!) in cups of water---i saw no difference in the effectiveness of the pollination, and i will keep even better records of this in '03! and, a digital camera you might use to snapshot each pollination site, boom, boom, boom and log stuff in from that---some growers just NUMBER their fruit and keep the information elsewhere....hope this brainstorm helps anyone........'pal.......however, folks, if growing AGs is what you do for a living, could i please trade places with you???!

I flag and bag my females the night before as well. Works great and saves time when youre half asleep at 6 am. Dave
