I am looking for some nice and orange pumpkin seed .I had a bad start to the season due to health issues(carpal tunnel surgery)but still had the best year ever.I had a 408,308 and a 362 from seeds I got here last year.When they are done drying I will post pics and the seed parents.Genetics are everything.A HUGE thankyou to all of you.Have a great day."GROW EM BIG"

I have some seeds that grew two orange pumpkins. The parent is the 1462 Gibson. I grew a 200 pounder and a 309.5 pounder on one plant. I crossed the 1462 Gibson with itself. Let me know if you want some seeds. midnightgardeneratmidnightgardenerblog.com

Rod, we have some seeds from my son's 547 grown in 2008. Great genetics, just had a very cold start and then vine borers in the stump. He grew one this year, had a nice orange on going when the flood came and a log smashed it. Pic of the 547 is in my 2008 diary and a pic of the smashed one is in my 2009 diary. We also crossed it with a 655 Lovelace that was bright orange and have seeds from that.

I hope your hand surgery was succesful. Both of mine were.

Frank, Yes I did..very late pollination 7/23/09...picked on day 64 still doing 15 a day. Weighed it at Durham. I kinda dropped the ball on that one..planted it in the shadiest part of the patch and it was re-transplanted the last week of may from my upper patch...wasn't the optimal way to give her a shot. Another grower in Vermont had one cranking @ 40 lbs a day and blew out both stem and blossom end after a terrential downpour. It was a vigourous grower...nice long thick stem. I'm thinking of growing it again next year in a prime spot..Mark
