Billy simply posted in jest that the seed would grow in Germany and Paul pole vaulted into assuming the trade was done. Cripes, still November and we're already at DEFCON 3.

Actually Owen....I think the original post says "I will tade i for a 1385 Jutras!".....so someone posted first to make the trade. Then it seems to have become national..and the first on line being bypassed got pissed....further information indicates its happened before with this grower......now it seems to be a best offer situation while suggesting the guy who got pissed would screw everyone in europe first chance....then another slam from europe.........pretty sad chain of events if you ask me. Wouldn't it be a shame if all seeds stayed within their country of origin, this thread wouldn't be happening. Best thing would be to not post to this thread anymore and let it die.

owen, folks were i live dont act like you talk, we help each other, if you dont under stand why im pissed about the trade tom wanted to make.all my seeds came from auctions here on big pumpkins,i spent over $2200 in these aution last year and the rest came from growers like the vanhooks boys and don young,dan bowls and others all good people.the only one i was calling rude was owen, cause eveytime someone would ask for a seed ,you would say me too.. metoo.to me thats rude..if you did'nt do that im talking to you.

What I don't get is why everyone falls over one another going after any one particular seed.

Too often, growers obtain a world class seed and make a great cross, only to abandon it and fail to grow the cross they made because it produced "only" a 6, 7, or 800-pounder.

Grow your own crosses people. They have just as much potential as Christy's WR.

Yes thats true but you just said that you spent over 2200 hundred on seeds? I have plenty of seeds of my own and choose to give them away because i dont think they have the best genetics. I'm a 1st time grower and have learned a lot and patience and willingness to be cool is certainly on that list.
