I think some of you may be under the misconception that everyone or maybe most everyone who posts a request for seeds is emailed privitely and subsequently receives all the wonderful seeds they are requesting. Now to be honest, maybe that is more true than not with newer seeds, but I am here to tell you it's not with old seeds. I have posted several times searching for old seeds that I would like to include in several crosses I plan(hope) to make this year. As is evident by the lack of responses to my posts, I have received very, very few. I am very, very greatful to those few of you who have responded and have done so only out of a true helping spirit.
The purpose in this post is to once again put my feelers out there for old seeds. I know some of the ones I'm searching for have to be out there. And I'm equally sure not many of you are growing them. I want to grow them this year! Each year that slips by renders more and more of these seeds sterile. I'm attempting to make some crosses with them before it is too late. I have a long list of quality seeds I am willing to trade to get these seeds that for the most part are probably sitting in someones seed box never to see the light of day before it's too late. If this sound like a last ditch effort, your pretty much right. As you probably already know, seeds from 1992 - 1997 are what I'm willing to trade for. And, although no one is ever obligated to trade seeds, it would be nice to at least give these old seeds a chance, especially by someone who is so motivated to do so.
