Hi - Like everyone else I guess, I'm starting to think about which seeds to plant this year. This is only my second year of growing AGs, and I have room for only one plant so I need to make it count. These are seeds I've acquired from this site over the Winter and wanted to ask for recommendations on which one I should go with. Thanks.
968 Stellpflug 2000 695 Dreary 2002 710 Christensen 2002 840 Desrosiers 2002 790 Cline 2002 810 Christensen 2002 821 Garrell 2 packets directly from Howard Dill's farm marked 700-900lbs.

Hey Cack, some nice seeds to chose from....the 840 is contest eligible and you could win a whole lot more! I would start a few and see what looks the best then make a choice! Grow em Big! Chuck

I would go with the 840 so that you can enter the 840 Pumpkin contest! Entering the 840 contest would increase your chances of winning something with your one chosen plant and allow you to participate in a one of a kind contest. Please be advised that my opinion is biased because I am one of the contest directors and Im trying to round up as many participants as possible. So come on and join the fun!!! LOL Mike Frantz

Cack, Where do you live?
I would suggest 821 Garrell for sure. I really like that cross. The 840 would be a good pollinator to the 821. The Christensen seeds would be great for color.

Crac, Beautiful line up of seeds, they all have great potential. If I had to choose one I would take the 840, it's tough to beat the 805 Pukos for genetics, and you have the chance to win great prizes!

Comrade Cack, If you are the proud owner of a good soil, well prepared, Definitely the 821 Garrell; because if I were going to plant a self seed, I would take the self from the seed with the hugest offspring, and the big ones from the 845 (1337, 1260) are much heavier than the big ones from the 805 (1061, 1060). If you don't have a great soil condition yet, it doesn't matter whatever you choose between them, I believe. Just some logical opinions..........Don
