Now that the 2003 BigPumpkins.com pumpkin contest has been published and is in its final stages of development,the 840 seed is needed by a few growers who would like to join the contest. If you have an 840 seed and do not plan to grow it would you consider donating or trading it to someone who is needing it for the contest. Please post here or you can e-mail me. Likewise if you are one of those searching for an 840 please post here or E-mail me. It is my hope to get seeds to everyone who would like to participate in the contest. Also there is an open chat being held this Sunday at 6pm CST in the Off Topic room to discuss the contests and possible rule changes. Southern, I have two 840 seeds, one viable the other sounds like a ping pong ball when drop tested. I was just worrying about what to do if it doesn't germinate. I guess that having one in hand is better than none at all! Give your 840 to a grower who doesn't have one. I think getting one to germinate is all part of the contest.
