Javier,

I have some great crosses that will grow great
in hot areas. High temps and humidity are an everyday
thing here. Email me and I'll get you some seeds out.

I think that most any plant will do well in the heat if you make sure that it has a good root structure.
I would make sure that your soil is tilled well, and add mycorrhiza. Building a strong foundation is important.
I have personally seen that soil cables (might be hard to find them in Spain) and a cold frame early on help to develop a strong plant that is far more tolorant to heat.
You will have to shade them and possibly set up some sort of misting system to get them through the hottest days.
John Van Hook can give you a better plan on growing in extreme climates.

thank you very much for answering! Sorry for my English that is google translator

to stop is my friend carbasser friends are farmers and we do home visits often! us 2 are the ones who want to improve the weights in Spain and we are investigating the 2 hard to get

2010 season we have had average temperatures of 35 degrees celsius daily!

an all farmer friends had problems with their plants and no one could move from 300 kilos in Spain and there are hundreds of people trying!! I this year and grown 2 pumpkins and a seed was paton broke with nearly 500 pounds and is the second of 400 pounds, and I think that the genetics of Paton's too cold for me!

This year I have a very large sand field and I have a water depth of 1 meter! sure this season will be a lot better! I am preparing the ground and the bottom tractor plow goeth before planting and I get my roots deepen more and suffer less heat

I try a spray irrigation system revolving very hot days, and much more but after all this effort I would get the right seeds for this climate

I have to congratulate you Americans because it is amazing the huge pumpkins you get with great effort !!!!! here in Spain a single farmer got Carlos Perez but for many years!!

if the seeds with a bit of luck and hope may grow a big pumpkin!!

and thanks for answering:
