Sure, we'd be glad to help. Just ask your questions in the General Message Board and you will get responses from a variety of growers. If you need seeds check out our Free Seeds page (I have lots left).

hi addypa . a good start to growing giant pumpkins is to get all the info you can . you should try to get a book or two (hot to grow world class GIANT PUMPKINS vol. 1 & 2 by DON LANGEVIN ) MOST NURSEYS ,blue seal feed stores have it . i can give you a few tips but those two books tell it all. you should try to get some good seed from big pumpkins already grown over 500 lbs. if you e mail me i will be happy to send some thay are capable of getting very big as long as you have the know how.once you know where you are going to grow use plenty of manure 3 to 5 inchs over the whole garden should do fine till in good you can add as much compost as you want leaves, builders sand, cow ,horse but be carefull not to add to much wood shavings with horse manure . once you,ve made your soup tilled it in lime the whole thing using directions on lime bag to adjust P.H a 6.7 p.h is perfect but dont be discourged if you start growing with a 6.2 or 6.4 ia will adjust over the growing season it self . i dig a pit about 4 ft. by 4 ft. 2 feet deep and add compost peatmoss & blood meal that is my nursery for the plant or plants it put them off to a great start. well that should get you started good luck in 2000 . p.s my buddy grew a plant last season he dident do to much to care for the plants . and he still got a 200 lbr. if you put a good effort in to growing them you should do well bye from mini patch
